DJ Honda - hII (pass: sprite)
A highly slept on album DJ Honda has his own unique style, which he sticks to. The beats are cool and fresh. He can't rap so he invites both legendary as well as underground hip hop acts: De La Soul, Problemz, KRS-ONE, Keith Murray, The Beatnuts, Black Attack, Mos Def... the list goes on.

We must be cut from the same cloth! I always had a thing for this album. Don't sleep on the first one though!
This one has "On The Mic", one of my favorite posse cuts of all time. It was from that track that I realized Rick James was more than "Super Freak".
Not all the lyricists are hot though. I played it last week and wasn't feeling a couple joints. However, when the tracks work, they work!
